No deductible applicable

An insurer was applying a deductible to damages arising from a motor vehicle accident for which the insured was not at fault and which should have been covered under Direct Compensation Property Damage (DCPD) provisions. Despite numerous attempts by both the client and the repair facility to resolve the issue directly with the adjuster, the matter remained unresolved.

Within 24 hours of the client contacting our office, we intervened and communicated directly with the insurer. Following our involvement, the insurer promptly confirmed to the repair facility that the deductible would be waived, as required under the circumstances, and authorized the commencement of repairs. Our timely intervention eliminated an unnecessary financial burden on the client and prevented further delays in returning their vehicle to service.
