About Us

Helping New Brunswick's Insurance Consumers Since 2005

We are the independent, government-mandated office that ensures New Brunswickers get the help they need for insurance inquiries — at no cost to you.

Our Mission

Independent. Impartial. Objective.

We exist to level the playing field between consumers and insurers.

A voice for policyholders across the province

The Office of the Consumer Advocate for Insurance was established by the Province of New Brunswick to represent the interests of insurance consumers. We investigate complaints, advocate for fair treatment, and work to improve industry practices.

Our office operates independently from government and the insurance industry, ensuring every New Brunswicker has access to free, impartial support when dealing with insurance disputes — whether it's auto, home, life, or disability coverage.

Our Values

Our services are completely free and available in both English and French. Every New Brunswicker deserves to be heard.

Responsiveness

We acknowledge every inquiry promptly and work diligently to resolve inquiries in a timely manner.

Education

We empower consumers with the knowledge to understand their policies, rights, and options before disputes arise.
