Initial decision was the correct one

The client was initially advised by the insurer that he was not at fault for the accident. However, the insurer subsequently reversed its decision and determined that the insured was at fault. As a result of this change in position, the insurer refused to cover the costs associated with the rental vehicle invoice.

The client then contacted our office seeking assistance. We intervened by contacting the insurer and requesting that the file be reviewed once again. Following a reassessment of the circumstances surrounding the claim, the insurer concluded that its original determination had been correct and that the client was, in fact, not at fault for the accident.

Based on this revised review, the insurer reinstated its initial position, accepted liability for the rental vehicle expenses, and agreed to cover the outstanding rental invoice.
