Determination of the extent of the damages

A client contacted our office after being involved in a motor vehicle accident. The insurer disputed whether certain damages to the client’s vehicle were caused by the accident. After reviewing the photographs and considering the circumstances surrounding the collision, we concluded that the disputed damages appeared consistent with the accident as described by the client.

We contacted the insurer and requested that an independent appraiser inspect the vehicle. Following the inspection, the appraiser reached a similar conclusion and confirmed that the damages were attributable to the accident. As a result, the insurer accepted responsibility for the full extent of the damages and agreed to provide coverage for all repairs.
